One of the core objectives of the CSE – Centre for Sports and Exercise – is to increase the participation of University students and staff in regular physical activity. The UNI-SPORTS programme consists of a wide range of classes in different sports and physical activities designed to help encourage members of the HKU Family to stay fit and healthy. Through the UNI-SPORTS programme we aim to provide participants with not only an appreciation of the link between regular physical activity and well-being but also opportunities to develop the skills needed for life-long sports involvement.
Classes in the UNI-SPORTS programme are offered in different sports and, within each sport, at a range of different levels. As a consequence, there is something available for the beginner all the way through to the experienced performer. Participants may first learn the basic skills required to move on to the foundation-, intermediate- and advance-level classes. Both the instructors and the activities within each class are carefully selected to make the activities both safe and enjoyable.
This booklet lists the full UNI-SPORTS programme offerings for 2020-2021 semester one. We hope you find within the booklet some classes and activities of great interest to you. Remember, register early for the classes, so as not to be disappointed….
